Since the beginning of time, man has been trying to achieve the most for him. From exploring different cities to going on adventures, there is no part of the country that is left unexplored. Some places to visit for an adventure in India are as follows.

Manali

 

Getting the attention of the world and becoming one of the most visited hill stations of India is Manali, situated in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh and has adventurous snow covered roads. There are a variety of activities to do here. A to-do list in Manali would include, river rafting for those who are fans of rafting and love to conquer the hard currents of water, paragliding for surfing with the mountains and getting intimate with the deep blue skies, skiing which is the most sought- after experience in Manali, hiking for soaking in the beauty of serene landscapes and camping in the beautiful place, and mountain biking for the adrenaline rush while the wind touches your face while biking on the rough mountain track.

 

Rishikesh

 

Located on the foothills of Himalayas is the land known as the “Yoga capital of the world”— Rishikesh. It is also known as the pilgrimage town and one of the holiest places to Hindus. This city has attracted thousands of tourists from around the world, not only for yoga but also for the number of activities that are present here.  The activities include white water rafting as one’s trip to Rishikesh is incomplete without rafting as it is one of the most adventurous activities one could do, bungee jumping for an adventurejunkie to get the heart pounding, camping and bonfire because after enjoying the currents of the river, one deserves its calmness as well, flying fox where one is tied with a harness, and rolled down at a high speed, and cliff jumping that includes diving from a twenty feet into the holy Ganges.

 

Ladakh

 

“Land of high passes” — Ladakh, a region in Jammu and Kashmir extending from Kunlun Mountains to the Himalayas. The region has seen an increase in the number of visitors in the past few years. This has led the people to come across the various activities here. Biking is considered as the most favourite and memorable activity as it helps explore the region in a totally different manner, trekking is one of the various activities in this region which can be Chadar Trek, Snow Leopard Trek, etc., camping is another way of exploring the nature and enjoying the scenic beauty, camel safari is one adventure that shouldn’t be missed, the LadakhMarathon is one adventure that should be tried and covers about 72 km.

 

Rajasthan

 

Rajasthan is the largest state of India, also known as the “Land of Kings.” This city has attracted about 14 percent of the total tourists in India. It is famous for forts, temples, paintings, the palaces and many more sites. Some of the activities one should surely do are visiting the Bhangarh fort which is known for its spookiness, an elephant ride at Amer, ziplining as the adrenaline rush by going from one hill to the other by wires is an activity that should be on everyone’s list, hot air balloon is one of the best activities to do while looking at the beautiful city, and dune bashing which is riding a bike or a car which drives furiously through the sand dunes.

 

Goa

 

A blend of Indian and Portuguese culture is the state of Goa on the coast belt of India in the Konkan region. Goa is known for beaches and trance parties but apart from these, there are various other activities one should do when here. They include scuba diving in the sea with trained persons and adequate equipment at the Grande Island, water sports like water-skiing, windsurfing, yachting, snorkeling, kayaking and many more, trekking mainly from October to December, and a Trip to Dudhsagar Waterfalls which has amazing sights along the way, and it leaves one amazed.

 

Travelling to these amazing locations makes one believe that Abraham Lincoln was right when he said “And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”
