10 Lesser Known Facts About Breaking Bad (TV Series)

Breaking Bad is a TV series which is based on a net-western crime drama. The series was produced by Vince Gilligan and has five seasons to it. It focuses on the story of Walter White who is a high school chemistry teacher and is diagnosed with lung cancer which cannot be operated. Along with another character, Jesse Pinkman White starts the business of producing and selling drugs in order to secure a better future for his family before he dies. There have been some less known facts about the series and its cast which are listed below.

  1. Jesse Pinkman which is played by Aaron Paul was supposed to be in the series for only nine episodes. Vince Gilligan was so impressed by his acting that he decided to keep him.
  2. The lead actor of the show, Bryan Cranston, has a tattoo of “Br/Ba” between his fingers on the right hand.
  3. The show brought stardom to Albuquerque, New Mexico along with millions into its local economy.
  4. Anthony Hopkins watched the whole series within two weeks and wrote a fan letter to Cranston for his brilliant performance.
  5. While shooting a fight for season 2, Aaron Paul got a concussion for which he had to be taken to ER. The incident took place as a stunt went wrong.
  6. The crooked lawyer of White and Pinkman, Saul Goodman, got his name from the phrase— “it’s all good, man.”
  7. During the shooting of the series, in an episode where the cast was smoking meth, they were actually smoking sugar or rock candy which was made by The Candy Store, Albuquerque.
  8. Even though Aaron Paul is known to constantly use an inappropriate word, the actor used it only 54 times.
  9. Throughout the whole series, there are only five episodes where the two main characters do not share the camera.
  10. Jesse Plemons got the name “Meth Damon” after he appeared on the series and people found similarities between him and Matt Damon.
