India has the maximum number of tigers in the world. There are numerous Tiger Reserves, National Parks, and Wildlife Parks. In the last four years, 30% of the tiger population has increased. Currently, it is estimated that there are 3,682 tigers in India. Following is a list of tiger reserves in India.

Corbett Tiger Reserve

The Reserve resides in Uttarakhand, and it was the first one to come up with the project Tiger initiative. It is the oldest national park in India.

 

Bandipur Tiger Reserve

It is located in the state of Karnataka. It is one of the first wildlife reserves in India. This park is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

 

Kanha Tiger Reserve

This is the largest national park of Madhya Pradesh and is one of the most popular tiger reserves in India. It has other endangered species like leopards, wild dogs, cats and swamp deer.

 

TadobaAndhari Tiger Reserve

It is one of the most famous tiger reserves where tigers live in the dense forests of Tadoba and Andhari region.

 

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve

It is well known for its rich population of wild tigers which is situated near SawaiMadhopur in Rajasthan.

 

Kaziranga Tiger Reserve

It is home to the maximum number of Tigers. It is listed in the world heritage site of India and is one of the fourth tiger reserves in Assam.

 

Sunderbans Tiger Reserve

It is the largest area where Bengal tigers reside. The forest is covered with mangrove trees and the Ganges Delta.
