Rhinoceros

The rhinos are known to have very bad eye sight due to which they are easily startled. Once a person/animal comes in the sight of a rhinoceros, it is difficult to escape. Hence, rhinos are considered to be very dangerous animals in the world.

Stonefish

Known for camouflaging with the ocean floor, the stonefish is one animal that is too dangerous. The stonefish can catch a prey within 0.15 seconds. It is also known as the “world’s most venomous fish” as stepping on its pine can cause one to lose a leg or in severe cases, life.

Great White Shark

The white sharks have a problem in distinguishing what can be eaten and what cannot be eaten. The simple rules these predators follow is to simply try it in order to know. The white sharks are known to eat anything that floats. But there is a belief that they do not eat humans although they do bite and leave as humans are “too bony.”

Black Mamba

Also called the “death incarnate”, the black mamba is highly famous for being too aggressive, fast and attacking the prey without any slight signal. Hence, they are considered the one of the most dangerous animals.

Cape Buffalo

Buffaloes are known to be animals that can be domesticated. But it is considered to be an unpredictable and deadly creature. The Cape buffalo is found through Africa and is known as the “black death.”

Polar bears are the world’s largest carnivores. They are known to eat anything that is even slightly meaty. Even though they don’t eat many humans, it may be because there are very less in those zones of the world.

African Lion

Known as the King of the Jungle, the lion is famously known to be the one of the most dangerous animals in the world. The case of 1898 of Tsavo man-eaters is one when the African Lion killed about 28 railway workers in 9 months.

Hyenas

Since history, hyenas have been known to be one of the most dangerous animals.  The man-eating predators tend to become more aware during war and also during the outbreak of any diseases that might result in a high rate of deaths.

Blue Ringed Octopus

With the size of a golf ball, the blue ringed octopus can kill about 46 adults with its venom. Till now, an antidote for it has not been found. One must know CPR in order to save someone who has been bitten by this predator. However, if a person is not given artificial respiration, they can be completely paralysed.

Hippopotamus

Even though Hippopotamus is mainly herbivorous, it can be quite aggressive and therefore, in Africa they are considered to be one of the most dangerous animals. They tend to attack without any hint, destroying everything around.

The largest salamander and amphibian found in the world is the Chinese Giant Salamander of about 180 cm. It is an aquatic animal and is found mainly in rocky mountain streams and lakes of China. Due to its habitat loss, pollution and many other reasons, it is considered to be critically endangered. The animal has a large head yet small eyes with dark skin. Even though its head is flat and broad, it has a wide mouth.

Giant Coconut Crab

Also known by the name of robber crab or palm thief, Coconut crab is the largest arthropod that lives on land and weighs about 4.1 kg. It is mainly found in Indonesia, across Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean and Gambier Islands. They are related to the hermit crabs of the genus Coenobita. This crab has about 10 legs and abdomen and a front section known as the cephalothorax.

Angora Rabbit

One of the oldest domestic rabbits from Ankara (present day Turkey) is known for its long and soft wool. They were first seen in the United States of America but are usually known for the long Angora wool. This rabbit is considered to be finer than Cashmere and has the size of about 11 microns in diameter.

Cantor’s Giant Soft Shelled Turtle

Considered to be the largest freshwater turtle is the Cantor’s giant soft-shelled turtle which is considered to be endangered and hence totally disappeared since the 20th century. This turtle has a broad head and yet small eyes and its carapace is soft. It grows till the length of 1.8 metres and the heaviest of them all weighed about 250 kg.

Star Nosed Mole

Found in low wet areas is this small mole in Northern America. It can be identified easily due to its twenty-two pink appendages on the snout. This mole grows upto 15-20 cm and weighs about 55 grams only. It is covered with thick skin and a water repellent fur. It also has large feet which are scaled and are long and thick. This mole is able to smell anything underwater as well.

LithogenesWahari

Found in South America is the LithogenesWahari which has the skill of a rock climber. It is a type of catfish with pelvic fins which act as gripping “hands”. This helps the fish climb rocks, walls, etc. the fish is found very rarely. The catfish has a sucker mouth and small eyes.

Angler Fish

The fish of the teleost order and bony fishes named for the predation characteristic is the Angler Fish. They are found worldwide and live in different types of surroundings like pelagic, benthic, on continental shelf, etc. Their length varies from 20 cm to 1 metre and they weigh about 45 kg.

Candiru

Also known as the toothpick fish and vampire fish, the Candiru is a parasitic freshwater catfish found in the Amazon Basin in Brazil,Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia. Even though some of these fishes grow upto 40 cm, they are generally small. They have a small head and a belly which appears distended after a large meal. They body is also translucent.

Hagfish

Also known as the slime eel, the Hagfish is an eel-shaped marine animal which produces slime. They are jawless and are normally 0.5 metres in length. Their tails are like paddles and skin covers the body like a loose sock. The eye of a hagfish lacks the lens and extraocular muscles and some motor cranial nerves.

The island is politically divided among three countries- Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. It is known for its beaches and ancient biodiverse rainforests. Mount Kinabalu is the highest peak of the island. The island spreads across 2,20,000 square kilometres and shelters 10 primitive species, 150 reptiles species and 350 bird species.

Namibia

It is a country in southwest Africa and is blessed with nine amazing parks that are enriched with rare species of animals and birds. Rare species like the black rhino and wild dogs are the special attraction of Namibia along with herds of Springbok and Zebras.
